I race home from preparation for this weekend’s Cyber Gaming tournament to talk to Dan, James and Alek — welcome back — about patch 1.4.2, lengthily about the Heart of the Swarm unit reveals and previews, and, of course, the Cyber Gaming Tournament #5, which I’ll be commentating this weekend! We go for an hour-and-a-half. How, I have no idea. All that hating on the new units, I guess. Don’t hate me because I love Brood War :(

We find time in our schedules and get things going again! Within, we speak of Youtube partnering with IGN, Brood War teams playing Starcraft 2, the Blizzcon tournament(s), the up-coming Cyber-Gaming tournament, preview the ASUS ROG and GOMTV Team Ace invitationals, and more! Even better, the stream is working again! Our handsome faces were seen by all, and can seen again, (tentatively) next Thursday at 8pm, once again! Follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/cedstick for updates on if we’re going live, when the show is available for download, news on local tournaments and other miscellaneous updates.

Forgive my mic’s distortion. I’ve done a lot of moving around of equipment lately and we thought my levels were fine. They weren’t. Will be fixed for next week!

Just letting everyone know that the podcast recommences this Thursday! We’re testing our software and connections tomorrow to see if we can go live this time around after our recurring technical difficulties last month, so we’ll keep you posted on whether or not it’ll be streamed.

Additionally, I’m looking around for some good designs for a multi-gaming site; slick and clean, with a news-post front-page style and not too busy — let me know if you know of any or have seen some websites you like and think would apply (cedriccook1 at esportscanada dot net.) A discussion forum is going up soon as well for the Greater Vancouver gaming community, including a private forum for BCIT’s CSL team.

Additionally, Bryan “Excidium” Paolini of the BCIT Starcraft Club has rented a 64-man Battlefield 3 server for public use! We’ve yet to start promoting and filling, but feel free to bring your friends and use it if you’re looking for a Vancouver-local server! More news to come when we’re ready to pick-up the pace and fill that sucker up!

Just letting everyone know that, because we’re taking a break on this coming Monday — no podcast — this week’s episode has been a bit delayed to keep it a bit spread-out. The discussions recorded on Monday will be available Saturday, and our next podcast will be on October 3rd. Thanks for listening, and we’ll be back on track as soon as my 60-hour work week is over.

Technical difficulties kind of gets us down, so it’s a short one this week (ironically, with our cast,) but the gang piles out of a clown-car and get’s some good discuss going about the Code S finals and the state of TvT, the supposed Neural Parasite changes, gosh-blasted Ghosts, and touch on the start of the Collegiate Star League 2011/2012 season! Featuring Cedric “Cedstick” Cook, Sam “FireZerg” Prowse, Adrian “Menkt” Fakstorp, Dan “LojiQaen” Sealey, Scott “Chrome” Rebelo, James “CanucksJC” Choi and our guest calling from Korea, Jungho “tQwannaBe” Hwang. Sorry about the audio quality this week; everyone seemed to be having connection issues, and it doesn’t help Jungho was calling from Korea!

We didn’t mention on the cast, but LojiQaen and I will be commentating BCIT’s matches live each week, so come tune-in for some Masters-level play! This week’s match is 1PM PDT on Saturday (September 17th,) and I’ll update the Twitter when we go live.

Last, but certainly not least: FireZerg of Baneling.

The Foreigners are coming, the Foreigners are com– wait, that is actually completely out of context. Regardless, we talk about Foreigners in Korea and if we may see more of them move to Korean teams, such as Fenix. Additionally, we look at the up-coming Code A foreigner seeds and Code A’s difficulty in the October season, touch on WCG Canada — rather, I touch on it — and last, but most certainly not least, we talk to this week’s guest, Zac “VPChance” Palmer, about his state in eSports and how he’s a Korean at heart. I added that last bit, but fifty games a day sounds close enough!

Oh, and we’re the Meta-Game again. Hurr hurr.
